Mezhgorye. 360° spherical Panoramas
Today Mezhgorye (Transcarpathia) is a village in a mountain valley, which is located in the 154 kilometers from the city, and has the status of a city. Mezhgorye is located not far from the mountains of Kamyanka and Kuk, the height of which is 1587 and 1365 meters, respectively. Spread this settlement, which is the district centre in the Transcarpathian region, in the valley of the river Rika. And its name Mezhgorye took due to the fact that it is situated just between two mountains - Borzhava and Krasna

Before Mezhgorye received its current name in 1953, the village was called Volove. For the first time this settlement was mentioned in 1415, when it was in the possession of the Hungarian feudal lords Urzumeys.

Rest in Mezhgorye is pure pleasure, because this town was founded in the 15th century and has its own unique character. It is also necessary to tell about the nature of these places, which cannot be compared with anything else. Among the natural attractions there is the waterfall Shypit, located nearby, as well as the mysterious lake Sinevir.
Mezhgorye can rightly be called the poetic corner of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Mezhgirya region in the most is characterized by mountainous surface, and the highest point of the area is the top of Strimba, the height of which is equal to 1719 meters.
To get to the lake Sinevir, referred to as the «sea eye», it is precisely because of Mezhgorye.
It is also worth mentioning that in Mezhgorye there is a place for therapeutic recreation. On the territory of the village there are 48 sources of mineral water, which at its useful properties does not concede to the water «Essentuki» and «Arzan», and in combination with crystal mountain air make the treatment and prevention of the most effective.
Mezhgorye is interesting from a tourist point of view. You can go on an excursion in a mountain valley of Borzhava, see with own eyes the extraordinary waterfall Shipot, as well as to see Sinevir lake and get to the Museum, which is located in the forest.
Lovers of winter sports will not be deprived of the attention in Mezhgorye. Due to good climatic and geographical conditions of the settlement it’s an ideal place for a snowboarding and skiing. In points of hire of equipment you can rent the thing you need and enjoy to the full active rest.
